Law Firm PACs Giving Big Money To Help Ensure Face Time
By Aebra Coe (November 2, 2018, 4:28 PM EDT) -- Just 13 law firm political action committees have reported contributing a quarter-million dollars or more to candidates for federal office and party committees this election cycle, an effort some say is a good way for firms to stand out from the crowd when dealing with lawmakers.
In all, 133 law firm PACs contributed $13.1 million to both individual federal candidates and party committees leading up to the 2018 midterm elections, according to Federal Election Commission data collected and compiled by nonprofit organization the Center for Responsive Politics.
