Fenwick Expands Parental Leave Policy To 16 Weeks For All

By Emma Cueto (November 5, 2018, 8:15 PM EST) -- Fenwick & West LLP has expanded its parental leave policy to include 16 weeks paid leave for all parents, regardless of gender, with additional time available for those giving birth, making it the latest in a long list of major firms updating their parental leave policies.

The firm announced the change Friday, saying the extended leave is part of the firm's commitment to diversity. It comes at a time when experts are suggesting that parental leave policies for men and women could have an impact on gender equality among BigLaw partners.
