Law360, New York (July 8, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Because it wasn't properly notified, National Union Fire Insurance Co. is not obligated to pay the $3 million balance of a $6 million judgment stemming from a lawsuit over a driver's death in a crash with a tractor-trailer, a federal appeals court has ruled.
