Groups Seek More Data On NPS Snowmobile Rule

Law360, New York (July 8, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Environmental organizations that have sued the National Park Service over its regulation allowing more than 700 snowmobiles a day into Yellowstone National Park are demanding that the government turn over a “complete administrative record” that shows how it came up with the rule.

Earthjustice attorneys representing the conservation groups filed a motion to compel on Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, claiming that the materials the government has offered so far demonstrate that the record is “fundamentally incomplete.”
