9th Circ. Kills Injunction On Sale Rules For Plan B

Law360, New York (July 8, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Finding that a lower court's injunction was overbroad, a federal appeals court has reversed a decision that blocked Washington state's rules requiring pharmacists to sell the so-called morning-after pill.

On Wednesday, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit remanded a decision by Judge Ronald B. Leighton to enjoin the rules of the Washington State Board of Pharmacy requiring the sale of the Plan B pill.
