Watson Pharma Ala. AWP Case Ends In Mistrial

Law360, New York (July 13, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An Alabama judge reportedly declared a mistrial on Monday in a trial for a lawsuit filed by the Alabama attorney general against Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc., accused of taking part in an industrywide scheme to bilk Medicaid by inflating drug prices.

Montgomery County Circuit Judge Charles Price said that, following seven hours of deliberation, jurors in the price-fixing trial remained hopelessly deadlocked. He said he expected a new trial for Watson with fresh jurors in September, according to an AP report.
