Hanover Told To Share Insurance Docs In Katrina Suit

Law360, New York (July 14, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A magistrate judge has ordered Hanover Insurance Co. to produce reinsurance information specific to a Louisiana cardiology office for which the insurer largely denied business interruption coverage after Hurricane Katrina on the premise that the damage was caused by the excluded peril of flooding.

Magistrate Judge Sally Shushan of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana on Monday ordered the insurer to reveal the reinsurance information for the office, in addition to providing other clarifications and justification for redacting certain documents.
