Exxon Suit Over Seafood Cos. Settlement Remanded

Law360, New York (July 15, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A lawsuit filed by Exxon Mobil Corp. and Exxon Shipping Co. over interest calculations in a settlement agreement with seafood processors related to the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill has been remanded to Alaska state court at the energy company’s request, despite arguments that the federal court should retain jurisdiction over the matter.
