Girl Scouts Hang On To Johnson Killen Lawyer

Law360, New York (July 16, 2009, 2:19 PM EDT) -- An attorney who is defending a Girl Scouts organization from an employment discrimination lawsuit cannot be disqualified from the case just because he represented the plaintiff in a different matter more than 25 years ago, an appeals court has ruled.

The Minnesota Court of Appeals found Tuesday that the Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin Lakes and Pines could continue retaining Joseph J. Roby Jr. and his law firm, Johnson Killen & Seiler PA.
