USDA Says Farmers Win With Cap-And-Trade

Law360, New York (July 22, 2009, 4:47 PM EDT) -- Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack assured agriculture and forestry representatives on Wednesday that a carbon cap-and-trade program would protect their economic interests, citing new analysis suggesting farmers could reap net gains up to $20 billion by 2050 through an offset market.
