Hemostatic Tech Co.’s Trade Secrets Suit Tossed

Law360, New York (July 20, 2009, 11:18 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has dismissed a suit launched by Medafor Inc. that claimed Starch Medical Inc., a rival hemostatic technology company, infringed its trademarks and stole trade secrets by inducing a former Medafor executive to disclose confidential business information.

Judge Patrick J. Schiltz granted Starch Medical’s motion to dismiss on Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, ruling that Medafor had failed to state a claim.
