Law360, New York (July 29, 2009, 2:34 PM EDT) -- The term “greenwashing” has been much bandied about to identify and denounce certain advertising or marketing practices promoting the environmentally beneficial qualities of the product or company being promoted by the practice that the term’s user believe to be false, misleading or confusing.
The term, itself, has so many broad meanings that it is in danger of confusing and misleading as many people as those led astray by the greenwashers.
