By Sam Reisman (March 8, 2019, 6:46 PM EST) -- Although the legal sector added a mere 600 jobs in February, the gains for January were stronger than previously thought, with the number of total legal industry jobs coming in at 1,142,700, roughly equal to last year's high-water mark, according to a Friday government report.
The U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics' revised estimate of gains for January reveals a rosier outlook than initially thought: 2,200 jobs gained, as opposed to last month's report, which said the month was stagnant. The figures are seasonally adjusted and subject to change in future reports.
