EY Continues March Into Legal Market With Global AI Deal

By Michele Gorman (February 21, 2019, 8:58 PM EST) -- EY Law this week shared its plans to begin using artificial intelligence company Luminance across its global network, as the Big Four accounting firms continue their expansion into some of the legal services traditionally handled by law firms.

Using pattern-recognition technology and machine learning, the AI platform reads legal documents and highlights anomalies to help lawyers prioritize their work. EY Law in a statement Thursday said it plans to use Luminance for large-scale document review, specifically with mergers and acquisitions due diligence.
