Sanctions In IP Spat With Citrix Dropped On Appeal

Law360, New York (July 24, 2009, 6:34 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has ruled that a district court improperly imposed sanctions against the plaintiffs in a patent infringement suit against Citrix Systems Inc.

In a ruling passed down Friday, the appeals court found that the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida had erred in imposing Rule 11 sanctions of $755,633 against plaintiffs Alexander Orenshteyn, David Fink and Timothy Johnson.
