'Sugar Bear Hair' Maker Sues Over Knockoff Gummy Vitamins

Law360 (February 25, 2019, 10:09 PM EST) -- A China-linked nutritional supplement maker hijacked the trademarked design of a Florida company's "Sugar Bear Hair" gummy vitamins, according to a lawsuit filed Monday in Sunshine State federal court.

BeSweet Inc., the Broward County-based maker of the pale blue, bear-shaped hair supplement, alleges the distinctive style of gummies and packaging that it trademarked in 2015 was stolen by Trureflections Inc., "a U.S.-based subsidiary, licensee or alter ego of Guangdong Yichao Biological Co. Ltd., a Chinese limited liability company."
