Importer Seeks Refund For Expired Tariffs On EU Food

Law360, New York (July 27, 2009, 1:59 PM EDT) -- An importer of European foodstuffs has asked U.S. Customs and Border Protection to lift retaliatory tariffs on certain imported French cheeses and mustards and refund hundreds of thousands of dollars in excess duties, arguing that the tariffs expired two years ago.
