Morris Manning Takes Ax To Associate Salaries

Law360, New York (July 27, 2009, 6:40 PM EDT) -- Morris Manning & Martin LLP has reportedly become the latest firm to cut associate pay, slashing salaries by 10 percent.

Legal blog Above the Law reported the cuts Monday.

Associates in the firm's flagging real estate, commercial lending and general corporate groups had already seen their pay slashed by 20 percent in early 2009, according to Above the Law.

But because the firm decided to implement across-the-board reductions, associates in the slowed groups will now face an only 10 percent cut, the blog reported.
