Ruling On Medicaid Refund Mistake Appealed

Law360, New York (October 6, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Continuing the saga of an erroneous $50 million Medicare refund from the federal government, the Court of Appeals in D.C. ruled on Wednesday to put a hold on a lower court’s ruling that the government should halt its efforts to collect the money.

Judge Henry H. Kennedy Jr. of the Federal District Court said that repayment could cause certain members of the Medicaid program hardships.
