Docs Threaten To Sue UK For Age Discrimination On Pensions

Law360, London (March 11, 2019, 5:34 PM GMT) -- The British Medical Association on Monday threatened to sue the U.K. government for age discrimination after it allegedly forced many younger doctors into joining a pension scheme that will result in "huge financial losses" after they retire.

In a letter to Health Secretary Matt Hancock, the trade organization accused the National Health Service of breaking equality laws when it transferred medics onto a less generous retirement savings plan in 2015.
