Citibank, Tech Co. Enter Talks Over Software Licensing Suit

Law360, London (March 13, 2019, 4:23 PM GMT) -- Citibank NA and Uniface BV are to start out-of-court talks in an attempt to settle the technology company’s claims that the lender violated a licensing deal by installing its server software at many of its offices outside London.

A new order handed down at the High Court shows that Citibank has been given until May 8 to work out a deal to resolve the suit brought against it by Uniface. The Amsterdam-based company is claiming damages for the alleged breach and an order from the court to force the bank to destroy software that Uniface believes it is not entitled to...
