Food Importers Sue US Over Retaliatory Duties

Law360, New York (July 30, 2009, 4:27 PM EDT) -- French Food Exports Inc. and Universal Trade Services Inc. have targeted the U.S. in a lawsuit, accusing it of unlawfully collecting excessive duties over the last two years on their liver products and other imported preserved French goods.

The companies filed suit in the U.S. Court of International Trade on Wednesday seeking to recover customs duties assessed by the U.S. on some of their imported products.
