Mostly Female Board Buoys Verrill Dana's Equity Record

Hurley to chair of the firm's executive board and the election of a new member that tilts the board majority-female, something Hurley said on Tuesday is another step in a long history of gender equity for the firm.

Hurley, a partner and co-chair of Verrill Dana's family law practice in its Boston office, is in her second term as a member of the board of directors, she said. She will welcome Barbara Young, a partner in the firm's business and corporate group, to the board, the firm announced March 20....
