Oil Groups Urge DC Circ. To Leave CAA Emissions Guidelines

Law360 (March 26, 2019, 10:55 PM EDT) -- The American Petroleum Institute told the D.C. Circuit that there was no problem with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's policy of allowing an easier permit review process for projects that will not significantly increase emissions under the Clean Air Act.

The API on Monday said that a petition for review brought by the Sierra Club challenging the EPA's methods should be denied, arguing that it would add significant new burdens to developers of power plants and other projects with little or no benefit.
