Wood Herron Wins Partial Toss Of Malpractice Suit

Law360 (July 31, 2009, 12:43 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has granted partial summary judgment to intellectual property boutique Wood Herron & Evans LLP in a malpractice suit brought by the inventor of a weed trimmer guard, finding that the inventor's expert was not qualified to provide testimony on the issue of legal malpractice in the patent application process.
