$11.5M 4-Way Hospital Insurance Dispute Continues

Law360, New York (July 31, 2009, 6:52 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has tossed certain claims but largely kept intact a dispute over which insurance companies, if any, must provide coverage to a West Virginia hospital for an $11.5 million payout.

The Charleston Area Medical Center, an 893-bed nonprofit hospital that is the flagship of the CAMC Health System, has coverage from three insurance companies — Executive Risk Indemnity Inc., Employers Reinsurance Corp. and Vandalia Insurance Co. — all of which have asserted various claims against each other.
