FDA Halts Production Of Teva Animal Drugs

Law360, New York (August 3, 2009, 7:06 PM EDT) -- Teva Animal Health Inc. has agreed to cease its production of veterinary drugs until the operating practices at its St. Joseph, Mo., plant meet U.S. Food and Drug Administration-approved manufacturing standards.

The FDA filed a complaint for permanent injunctive relief and a consent decree of permanent injunction Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri.

The complaint accuses the company, President David Cunningham, Senior Director of Regulatory Compliance Kenneth Lavin, and Senior Vice President of Quality Ronald Schultz of repeated violations of...
