Shareholders Scrutinize RIM Over Options Backdating

Law360, New York (October 9, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two weeks after Research In Motion revealed that it was reviewing its stock options-granting practices, law firm Keller Rohrback LLP is spearheading a shareholder derivative investigation into the Blackberry maker.

On Monday, Keller Rohrback revealed that it had commenced an investigation into RIM, along with the company’s current and former executive officers and directors for possible violations related to the backdating of stock options.
