Two British Airways Executives Bolt Amid Probe

Law360, New York (October 9, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In the wake of a probe into British Airways’ possible cartel activity regarding fuel surcharges, two key executives at the carrier have resigned after taking formal leaves of absence.

On Monday, British Airways revealed in a statement to the London Stock Exchange that Martin George, the airline’s commercial director and Iain Burns, the head of communications, had left their posts effective immediately.
