Sierra Club Asks DOJ For Criminal Probe Of Lobbyists

Law360, New York (August 4, 2009, 6:33 PM EDT) -- In response to reports alleging prominent lobbying firm Bonner & Associates sent a congressman forged letters opposing clean energy and climate legislation, the Sierra Club has formally urged the U.S. Department of Justice to open a criminal probe into the allegations.

The Sierra Club sent U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder a formal letter on Monday laying out the Washington-based firm's possible violations of federal law.
