Marine Hose MDL Judge OKs Cert., $22M In Deals

Law360, New York (August 4, 2009, 7:44 PM EDT) -- The judge in the multidistrict litigation over price-fixing in the marine hose industry has certified a class consisting of dozens of purchasers and given preliminary approval to $22 million in settlements with five defendants, including Bridgestone Corp.

Judge Donald Graham of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida ruled Friday that Bayside Rubber & Products Inc. had met all the requirements for class certification.
