Trump Ambassador Pick Earned $14M From Kirkland, Quinn

Law360 (April 16, 2019, 4:08 PM EDT) -- Christopher Landau, an appellate lawyer tapped by President Donald Trump to serve as the next ambassador to Mexico, earned approximately $11 million from Kirkland and $3 million from Quinn Emanuel in 2017 and 2018, according to a recent financial disclosure.

The $11 million Landau took in from Kirkland & Ellis LLP and its international arm includes earnings from 2017 and the first two months of 2018, before the partner made the move to Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP early last year.
