Fla. Energy Choice Ballot Initiative Attacked From All Corners

Law360 (April 19, 2019, 8:21 PM EDT) -- A slew of major Florida interests that are rarely in harmony have lambasted a ballot initiative that purports to create a right to a competitive energy market but that opponents say will upend the energy market in the Sunshine State

In 18 different briefs filed with the Florida Supreme Court by Friday morning, groups as disparate as the Audubon Society and the Florida Chamber of Commerce voiced their opposition to the proposed constitutional amendment that would guarantee a right for customers of investor-owned utilities to choose their electricity providers in competitive markets.
