Day Pitney Revamps Summer Program With Biz Angle

Law360, New York (August 5, 2009, 6:49 PM EDT) -- Day Pitney LLP is ditching the traditional summer associate model beginning in May 2010, opting instead for an apprenticeship program that will educate young lawyers on business development and firm management tactics while providing equal opportunity for associates to work on transactional and litigation assignments.

The eight-week program, announced Wednesday, will allow summer associates to learn the business aspects of being a lawyer and gain practical experience working side by side with attorneys in relevant practice areas, the firm said.
