Q&A With Covington & Burling's Michael Hopkins

Law360, New York (August 7, 2009, 12:10 PM EDT) -- Partner and chair of Covington & Burling LLP 's bankruptcy and restructuring practice, Michael Hopkins received his law degree in 1979 from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law as a member of the school’s first graduating class.

In 1989, Hopkins left Milbank to join Howard Darby & Levin, which merged with Covington & Burling in 1999. Although he began his legal career as a litigator at Shearman & Sterling, he became involved in bankruptcy and restructuring work early on.
