Energy Market Data Co. Unlikely To Escape Trade Secrets Row

Law360 (April 23, 2019, 8:40 PM EDT) -- A bitter fight between energy market data company Genscape and one of its competitors over trade secrets allegedly stolen by a former Genscape employee is likely to drag on after a Colorado federal judge said Tuesday the claims were solid.

At a hearing in Denver, U.S. District Judge Wiley Daniel told attorneys for Genscape Inc. and competitor Live Power Intelligence Company NA LLC he has “a strong leaning” to allow Genscape’s claims that Live Power stole its trade secrets to proceed.
