9th Circ. Denies Bonneville Power's Bid For Rehearing

Law360, New York (August 6, 2009, 9:04 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit has rejected Bonneville Power Administration's bid for a panel rehearing over a portion of an earlier decision that ordered the Pacific Northwest power authority to renegotiate several controversial energy contracts.

On Wednesday, the Ninth Circuit unanimously rejected both defendant BPA and intervenor Port Townsend Paper Corp.'s petition for rehearing while issuing a series of cosmetic amendments to the mixed ruling handed down in December 2008.
