Schering-Plough Denied Injunction In Sunscreen Suit

Law360, New York (August 6, 2009, 10:20 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has denied Schering-Plough Healthcare Products Inc.’s bid for a preliminary injunction against Neutrogena Corp. that would have barred the rival sunscreen maker from conveying in ads that sunscreens without its Helioplex formula can’t adequately block UV rays, which Schering-Plough claims constitutes false advertising and unfair competition.
