Alleged Fraudster's Brother Sued Over $50M Plot

Law360, New York (August 10, 2009, 7:03 PM EDT) -- Three investors have sued the brother of a man accused of running a $50 million Ponzi scheme, claiming he and two investment firm representatives violated securities laws by inducing investors to hand over money for what turned out to be a scam.

In a lawsuit filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, Patricia Philliben and David Bochniak and his wife Kendra Sparks sued James Bravata, the brother of John J. Bravata, owner and CEO of BBC Equities, BBC Management Inc....
