Perrigo Inks $750M Deal As Part Of Shift To Consumer Goods

By Chelsea Naso (May 9, 2019, 3:43 PM EDT) -- Perrigo, led by Morgan Lewis, unveiled Thursday a $750 million acquisition of oral care products maker and Kirkland & Ellis client Ranir as part of the company's ongoing push to leave behind life as a health care company in favor of becoming a consumer goods company.

News of the Ranir Global Holdings LLC deal comes as Perrigo Co. also reaffirmed its commitment to either sell or spin off its generic drugs business and inked a $185 million divestiture of its animal health business.
