Delaware Jury Awards $34M In Patent Suit

Law360, New York (October 10, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Delaware jury dealt a blow to Fairchild Semiconductor Inc. Tuesday, finding that the company willfully infringed four patents held by rival semiconductor company Power Integrations Inc. and awarding almost $34 million in damages.

On Dec. 4, a second trial will be held to ascertain the validity of the patents at issue in this case, at which time Fairchild will have the chance to argue that the patents are invalid.
