Taxation With Representation: Wachtell, Kirkland, Proskauer

Law360 (May 17, 2019, 3:57 PM EDT) -- In this week’s Taxation With Representation, KPS Capital Partners buys an air and gas business from Colfax, Hewlett-Packard takes over the supercomputer company Cray, and French chemical maker Arkema purchases an additive manufacturer.

KPS’ $1.8B Colfax Deal

KPS Capital Partners said Thursday it would take over the air and gas handling business of Colfax Corp. in a $1.8 billion deal, with Paul Weiss steering the buyer and Kirkland & Ellis and Baker Botts guiding the seller.
