Insurer Seeks Coverage Ruling In Whistleblower Case

Law360, New York (August 13, 2009, 6:08 PM EDT) -- Employers Mutual Casualty Co. has asked a federal judge to rule that it doesn't have to defend or indemnify its insured — turf and topsoil provider Meyers Cos. Inc. — against a suit by a former employee who claims the company fired him for blowing the whistle on alleged violations related to undocumented workers.
