Del Monte Torture Claims Shifted To Guatemala

Law360, New York (August 13, 2009, 1:52 PM EDT) -- An appeals court has sided against seven Guatemalan banana plantation workers who said they were tortured in retaliation for their participation in a labor union, ruling that their claims against Del Monte Fresh Produce Co. and its Guatemalan subsidiary should not be litigated in the United States.
