FDA Clears Mylan Over Ignored Computer Warnings

Law360, New York (August 13, 2009, 6:33 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has concluded an inquiry into Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc., determining that the generic-drug manufacturer adequately investigated allegations that factory workers ignored computer warnings about the drugs they were making.

Judy Leon, a spokeswoman for the FDA, said the agency was not planning any additional action against the company, a leading generics maker, and that any deviation from standard operating procedures did not result in any compromised drug lots.
