CBD Sues Over Bush-Era Splittail Fish Delisting

Law360, New York (August 13, 2009, 5:15 PM EDT) -- The Center for Biological Diversity has slapped the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service with a lawsuit seeking to overturn a decision by the Bush administration to remove the Sacramento splittail fish’s endangered species status.

Filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, the complaint contends that removing Endangered Species Act protections for the splittail could cause the population to plummet below sustainable levels.
