Maritime Cos. Appeal Insurer's Win Over Tanker Crash

Law360, New York (August 14, 2009, 3:37 PM EDT) -- Two companies at the center of a storm of litigation over a collision between a tanker and a barge — which split in two and dumped 500,000 gallons of oil into the Mississippi River near New Orleans — have decided to appeal a ruling that Indemnity Insurance Co. of North America's liability is only $985,000.
