ACCC Targets Marine Hose Makers Over Cartel

Law360, New York (August 14, 2009, 2:15 PM EDT) -- Australia's antitrust watchdog has become the latest regulator to target the worldwide marine hose industry, taking four major manufacturers to court for their alleged involvement in an international cartel.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission announced Friday that it had instituted proceedings in the Federal Court in Melbourne against Japan's Bridgestone Corp., the U.K.'s Dunlop Oil & Marine Ltd., France's Trelleborg Industrie SAS and Italy's Parker ITR.
