8th Circ. Upholds Dismissal Of Retaliation Claims

Law360, New York (August 14, 2009, 5:53 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has upheld a lower court's decision to dismiss a lawsuit brought by an Omaha Public School employee who said he was fired in retaliation for reporting possible pay irregularities and invalid service contracts.

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit said Friday that Judge Laurie Smith Camp of the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska was right to grant summary judgment to OPS in the lawsuit brought by Gary Anderson.
