1 Of 2 Claims Dumped In Chevron Oil Spill Suit

Law360, New York (August 18, 2009, 12:37 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has tossed half of an environmental lawsuit accusing Chevron USA Inc. of failing to clean up a million gallons of crude oil the energy giant allegedly spilled at one of its Alabama refineries.

Chief Judge Callie V. S. Granade of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Alabama on Monday adopted a magistrate judge's recommendation granting Chevron's motion to dismiss one of the two claims in the suit.
